The Athletic Booster Club will be purchasing Senior Banners for all senior athletes to be hung in the HS Gym. All Senior athletes that are or plan to compete in a sport this year and are interested in this need to sign up in the HS Office by Friday, 9/21. Pictures date will be announced soon.

FCA Shirts are now on sale for $13. Forms are in the HS Office or with Mrs. Grooms. The deadline has been extended to Thursday, 9/27.

FBLA meeting will be held on Monday, 9/24 during 8th hour. Students will be released by intercom.

HS StuCo meetings will be every Thursday 8th hour. Students should check in to their class and then be released directly to Mrs. Ross.

Please note that per HB-300 regulations, MSHSAA has released its annual Interscholastic Youth Sports Brain Injury Report regarding the impact of student athlete concussions and head injuries and the efforts that have been made to minimize damages from school sports injuries on the MSHSAA website. NHS applications are available for pickup from Mr. White. Students must be a junior or senior with a GPA over 3.0, active in extracurricular activities and have held or currently hold a leadership position in an organization. Meetings will be the first Tuesday of every month in his room at 8am.

Senior Meeting in Mr. Williams room 5th hour through lunch Thursday, 9/20. The Counselors will be providing pizza for lunch. Seniors - email Mrs. Walker at for your preference on the kind of pizza.

Parade floats: Any group (team, etc) wanting to have a float in the parade & homecoming candidates will need to email Mrs. Ross at what type of vehicle (size) and who the driver will be! Students cannot drive a float. Please be ready to line up at 2:00pm on the block around the Ag Shop.

Spirit Competitions: Overall winner will receive pizza for their class! Sponsors need to supervise Float Building and Sidewalks. MS will work on Sidewalks, Posters and Stadium Cup decorating only.
Sidewalks (7th - 12th Grade) - Stuco will provide each class with sidewalk chalk. Each class will be given 12 spaces of sidewalk to decorate starting at the stop sign on the corner up to the gates of the stadium. Each group area will be labeled on Friday morning, 9/21 and you will do them this day to be completed by 2pm. Sidewalks should be theme related & should cover most of the sidewalk.
Posters (7th - 12th Grade)  - Each class needs to make one poster to be hung up at the football game off the back of the bleachers. Posters need to be vertical & need to go with the theme.
Floats (9th - 12th Grade) - Please email Mrs. Ross who will be driving the float by Friday, 9/14. Float construction will be on Friday, 9/21. Sponsors/classes will get all of Friday morning to work on floats and sidewalks. Students can begin to gather materials and things for float construction and start constructing items but cannot begin building on the actual float until Friday morning. Locations: Seniors - New Ag Shop, Juniors - Morton Building by Preschool, Sophomores - Back of Old Ag Shop, Freshman - Open Face Barn by the Preschool. Class Sponsors will need to be there at the beginning and the end of the parade. Float drivers should park the floats for display along the parking lot directly next to the track.

Dress Up Days for Homecoming Week 9/17-9/21: (Theme: There is no place like Homecoming!) Dress up days competition: students will vote on teachers and teachers will vote on students in a Google Form 8th hour each day. Winners will be announced the following morning. We will have a Spirit King & Queen this year. You must win a dress up day to be in the candidate pool for King & Queen. Spirit King & Queen will be announced at lunch on 9/21.

Homecoming Day: Attendance will be taken 1st hour. Students and teachers will be released to their designated areas. Sponsors will take attendance at their area every hour. This is designed to be sponsor and student driven. If a volunteer parent is approved by a sponsor, they will need to come to the HS Office to get a visitor pass.

Pep Rally will be on Wednesday, 9/19 at 7:30pm in the HS Gym. Attendance will also go towards Class Competitions. Bon Fire will follow the Pep Rally in between the football field and the track. Pep Rally will be at 2:15pm on Friday, 9/21.

The Homecoming Dance will be from 10pm to Midnight on Friday, 9/21. ALL Guests MUST be pre-approved through the HS Office. Slips were due 9/19. If your guest has not been approved you will be notified from the office or at the door if you did not sign them up.

Class Rings and Graduation Supplies: There will be a meeting for Sophomores and Seniors in between the lunch shifts (12:07-12:33) in two locations (Commons & Library) with Jostens on Tuesday, 9/25 to go over options and how to order Class Rings and Graduation Supplies. Orders will be due Wednesday, 10/3 before school from 7:45-8:15am in the HS Commons. Votech students will need to turn orders in to the HS Office the day before.

Teacher of the Month nominations are now available for Polo 7th - 12th grade students. Students are encouraged to nominate teachers at Polo High School that go above and beyond. Students may nominate by filling out a form in the HS Office or by emailing Mr. Pickrell at
